Customers in Smart Receipts

Keep a reusable list of customers and clients so client-related spending is organised under consistent names. The Customer module is on by default for the Freelance profile and can be enabled for any profile.

What it is

Optional module

The Customer module is switched on in Account Setup. It is on automatically for the Freelance profile.

Reusable customer records

A customer is a named record kept in one place, so every client is referred to the same way.

Made for billing back

Consistent client names make it straightforward to gather the expenses to bill back or to review per client.

Backed up

Customers, and the module setting, are included in cloud backup and restore.

Where it shows up

  • Settings, under Customers, once the module is on.
  • Alongside tags: create a tag per client to filter and export that client's expenses.

Good to know

Tip: Freelancers should add every active client on day one and pair each with a tag. When an invoice needs expenses attached, export filtered by that tag and the list is ready.

When you delete it: Deleting a customer removes it from your saved list only. No expenses are affected.
